Programming

I’ve taken a back seat on this one for a bit. I’ve made some updates to my Joplin web clipper. You can follow along on my GitHub repository. I’ve gone through a few updates to support the most recent Joplin updates, so it’s basically in maintenance mode.

My next project I’d like to finish is a running shoe mileage tracker. The MapMyRun app had this previously but removed it. I have a working version, but I need to clean it up and send to some testers. I have one tester, and based on that feedback, I’ll see if this is viable and what I should focus on to finish a first version.

Part-time MBA

I’m now into Year 3 of my Part-Time MBA program at Babson College. My first class is on entrepreneurship. So far, it has been informative and enriching. Hoping to finish up by the end of 2024, hopefully with a concentration in Marketing.

DIY and Crafting

I’ve seriously gotten into DIY stuff over the past 6 months. I purchased a 3D printer, a Creality Ender-3 V2 Neo, which seems to be a really good entry-level printer. Probably like most people, I struggled a bit to get good prints, but after a few rounds I have it locked in. Started experimenting with some multi-colored prints, which are super fun. Of course, now I’m jealous about the Bambu printers with AMS. Not sure the budget will allow for that just yet.

I also purchased a craft cutter, a Silhouette Cameo 4. This has been a game changer. I’ve made a bunch of stickers for my son and others. Totally addictive, and I’m already probably have spent too much money on this, but I love it. I went with the Cameo 4, as it was a little cheaper than a comparable Cricut, and I’ve heard Cricut has been making HP-like moves. The biggest downside is their software, Silhouette Studio, is garbage. I’ve had to do a lot of workarounds with that software.
