Thanks for stopping by.
By day, I’m a Digital Strategist for a financial services company. That’s the fancy title for determining the product direction for our customer-facing portal and mobile apps. It’s my first non-IT role in many, many years, which is somewhat ironic as I was trained as a graphic designer.
I currently reside in a suburb of Boston, MA with my wife, daughter, and son. In my spare time, I enjoy running, downhill skiing, home brewing, woodworking, and fantasy football.
Check out the Projects page for my software and design projects. You can also check out my Now page for the stuff I’m working on at the moment.
As a developer, I probably should have my own blogging framework and tool. But frankly, to get this up and running (and actually use it), I’m more than okay with using Hugo. It’s a static site generator written in Go. I’ve found it very easy to create content and customer content types (even though I currently don’t use them much), and trying new themes are super easy. There is good documentation and a nice community around it.
Currently the site is using a slightly modified version of the Ezhil theme. It is self-hosted on Dreamhost, which I’ve used for many, many years.
